User Reviews
Frustrating. After close trends to have problem to connect to video. Always prompt can't play video after off and relaunch. When reins tree reinstall, video van play. I didn't remove the HDD.
Quick connectivity. Fast performance . Reverse transfer. I hope dlink provides more features like file sharing on other native apps, file properties viewer, Cloud transfer. Even better, total dlink apps integration.
I bought a Wifi router DIR-850L. However, I cannot use the "folder" function of Shareport App with DIR-850L. The app always show the msg " Unexpected server error! Please reboot your router and try again". I have rebooted the router for many times. I also formate the USB drive for testing again. The "folder" function of the App stills cannot be used. Please kindly update the App.
Connected a USB 3 connector that's powered. And have two 2.5 drives connected and the rest are flash drives totaling 8tb! No problem, multiple devices accessing both my 5ghz and 2.4ghz great ecosystem!
I want to be able to upload whole directories but not only single files. I want to be able to sent photos(do backup) from galery app to the shareport
DIR-505 (fw: 1.08, 2014/3/24) device not recognised at all. FTP/WebDAV access would be usefull instead of this.
Doesn't detect anything, same as for other users. Router has it enabled and connected, but android or the windows app cant detect it. Wake up dlink check Draytek and learn how to do FW and apps:-!
Alright app, could be better style though, doesnt work on my LG v400 tablet which is disappointing :/
1) I have DIR636L Not working with it. 2) Tried with Mi Note, Micrmax as soon as click on photo or video , any icon app crashes, and force closes. 3) I can access my files by using the online link in laptop or mobile. 4) D link please help
I have a DIR-685 that this does not support. The router only works with version 1.7 Windows Shareport also so it must be slightly different from later routers
I can't upload from or save to my phone's mico sd card. Would be nice if it could give a choice to access it
I got DIR-615 with shareport but the model is not in the list. It seems that I can't connect to my android. However, it did connected to my PC. Only half work than it intended purpose. You guys need to do a lot of improvement immediately.
I'm using it daily to expand my memory on my ipad n phone. Excellent tool for home n office productivity. Has it's glitches, nothing I can't live without. Thanks guys.
Gets the job done, but a horrible interface. Looks like it was designed by some high school students during their project in 2005.
Once it's set up properly, everything works perfectly! I have a USB 3.0 port on my router, so it reacts a lot more quickly. One tip is to just go to folder view in the app instead of 'Music' or 'Video'. It's a lot faster! I wouldn't put anything too sensitive on the drive because of possible security issues. I agree that we should be prompted for a password every time because if someone has access to your phone they can easily look through your files! The is the only reason I give four stars instead of five
Have no real issues with the app or the router. 4 stars because there can be lag issues sometimes between the app and router but overal works well.
This is an absolute joke. The app sorts your files into photos, videos, and other but doesn't just display your file structure. Why?!? Now my network won't even recognise the file structure and only sees these stupid read only files. There is no supporting documentation to help you make this thing useful. What a waste of zeros and ones.
It bare bones works on a DIR-506L but is far from user friendly. Single file transfers and a non-intuitive user interface that is really basic. To get the most functionality you have to combine this app with the web interface. Even then it is a real chore to transfer multiple files. The developers obviously never thought that people would transfer photos from cameras on holiday with it. Imaging individually clicking on 100 or 500 files to transfer instead of just "select all" or "copy folder". This app would be redundant if they just put an .FTP server on their routers instead of (or in addition to) web servers. Then we could use our favourite file manager. You cannot choose the download folder. It is always "shareport mobile". You can sort of choose the upload folder if you do a bit of futzing, but not too friendly. Really hope they update this with something decent or update the firmware on the hardware with FTP servers.
Seriously, I've always had trouble with this D-link module. Numerous attempts with all sorts of combinations in settings, disabling firewall, rebooting everything, different storage devices, resetting the router, etc.. nothing works. This goes for the desktop application as well, it's all rubbish.
Due to this my hanging of tab has gone okay.... Now there is no more storage i can use this app to transfer, receive, and see the data..... i found it useful you can find it useful too....
Need to add a lock screen before allow user to access the file, what if the phone is lost and stranger can use open the app without much hassle.
Doesn't work with DIR-628. Share Port does work from router to PC. Galaxy S3 and S4 using this mobile app fail to even find a SharePort router. Please add support.
No folder sync option, no multi select option, very poor ui, you have to download each file separately,
Can be better... Hope it supports Chromecast... Also, it keeps on disconnecting with my Note 8... New issue... App can't play .m4v videos
